HP announced the latest Z workstations with plenty of innovations. These include mobile, desktop, and rack workstations available in September and October 2020.
Plenty of new Products
The new Z line up includes 3 new mobile workstations, 3 new desktop systems, and a new rack workstation. These systems excel at power, density, and price.
The mobile line up includes the ZBook Fury 15 G7 and 17 G7 as well as the ZBook Power G7. The desktop systems are the Z2 line which goes small, smaller, smallest, but doesn't shy away from providing excellent performance and flexibility. And the ZCentral 4R is a powerful, dense, 1U rack workstation.
The "new normal" means that HP's software, ZCentral Remote Boost is more relevant than ever for employees working from home who still need absolute top performance. And remote access as a norm brings HP's security features into focus.
Performance comes in all sizes and shapes
Performance starts with the ZBook Fury 15 and 17 G7. These mobile workstations support NVIDIA Quadro RTX 3000 and 5000.

ZBook Fury mobile workstations offer Quadro RTX 3000 and 5000 GPUs
The Fury 15 is 12% smaller than the previous model yet packs killer graphics. The Fury 17 is 29% smaller and is now the smallest 17" power workstation with a Quadro RTX 5000 GPU and an Intel processor with a 5.3 GHz Turbo frequency.
The availability of the high-end GPUs in the Fury products make these systems suitable for an ever growing range of applications leveraging the RTX architecture for AI and GPU acceleration. The ability to build them with 128 GB of ECC or non-ECC memory, Intel's 10th generation Core i9 and Xeon processors, and 10 TB of NVMe SSD storage makes these mobile workstations excellent for demanding applications. From 4K and 8K video editing to deep learning, these mobile workstations are up to the challenge.
HP hasn't left out the customer looking for the best price / performance, either. The HP ZBook Power G7 is an affordable mobile workstation which meets the needs of many users by supporting Quadro T2000 graphics, 64 GB of memory, and some of the same, fast Core i9 and Xeon processors as the Fury systems.
New desktop Z workstations include the family of Z2 systems: the tower, the small form factor, and the mini versions of the Z2. The Z2 Mini deliver flexibility going from inconspicuously sitting on the desktop to being clamped to the monitor stand to being rack-mounted in the server room. All the while, it sports up to a Quadro T2000 GPU.
The HP Z2 Small Form Factor G5 workstation is the first small form factor system to support graphics as powerful as the Quadro RTX 3000. The Z2 Tower packs in 256 GB of memory, an Intel processor with 5.3 GHz Turbo frequency and a double-wide Quadro RTX 6000 GPU. Hardly a workstation that you would call "entry-level". All of these Z2 workstations will be available during September 2020.
Finally the ZCentral 4R is a rack workstation, available in October 2020, in which HP has compressed the previous generation 2U rack workstation into a 1U form factor. This workstation can take a Quadro RTX 8000, CPUs with a 4.6 GHz Turbo frequency, plenty of storage, and 256 GB of memory.
Protection you need - HP delivers on Security
HP are experts on security. And they load up their Z workstations with protection. This includes a host of "HP Sure" branded protections such as Sure Start for a self-healing BIOS, Sure Run for critical process protection, Sure Sense for AI-based threat detection, and others. The security features are supported across the full line of Z workstations and add a level of confidence for companies dealing with large numbers of employees working from home.

ZCentral Remote Boost keeps you productive away from the office
Possibilities expand with ZCentral Remote Boost
HP's RGS software is now ZCentral Remote Boost, but it still provides graphics accelerated remote workstation access. And that, of course, expands the possibilities for your company.
The efficiency is obvious. Whether in the office, at home, or - some day in the future - on the road, accessing your own workstation with the same working environment all the time and from any location gives you a productivity boost.
The workstation software is free for all HP Z workstations and accessing that workstation can be done using Windows, Mac OS, or Linux clients.

A Final Perspective
The product release in these three segments gives customers interesting choices. The mobile workstations carry enough performance to be mobile rendering stations, perform simulations, or deep learning.
The entry level Z2 line has great flexibility with the Mini product and far-beyond-entry-level performance in the Z2 Tower. The ZCentral 4R is dense computing power offering high-performance, secured, remote computing 24/7 from any location, office or home.
HP rounds out the launch system offerings with security protection updates and ZCentral Remote Boost. Both are important when teams need flexible access to their workstations.
